Paul Britton, Art Surveyor & Valuer
Paul Britton MRICS FRSA is a Chartered Arts and Antiques Surveyor, providing independent art surveying
and valuation services to private collectors and those transacting in art. Through his extensive experience and close working relationships with specialist art advisors and leading practitioners within the fields of art law, taxation and conservation, Paul Britton provides a bespoke and professional valuation and art advisory service.
Prior to establishing his art surveying practice in 2006, he held positions within specialist sectors of the UK art market including conservation, auctioneering and valuation. For six years he acted as Fine Art Surveyor to a leading international
firm of insurance loss adjusters, to whom he remains a consultant.
In addition to providing general valuation services, Paul Britton specialises in forensic valuation of works of art and chattels, in particular post-loss valuation following theft, loss or damage.
Paul Britton is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and currently serves on the Arts and Antiques Faculty Board. He is a director of ARTResolve, a specialist out-of-court facility for the resolution of disputes involving works of art, antiquities and cultural property and is widely published on valuation practice.
